About me

Hi! I’m Irem, a student in Enschede, Netherlands. I like building things, whether that’s firmware for a robot, a full-stack web app. Outside my studies I spend most of my time in student teams and communities, bringing people together and making things happen.

RoboTeam Twente

Embedded Engineer

I’m part of RoboTeam Twente, a student team that designs and builds autonomous soccer robots to compete in RoboCup. As an embedded engineer, I work on the low-level software that runs on the robots’ hardware.

ESN Enschede

Activity Coordinator

At the Erasmus Student Network, I help plan and run activities for international students, from cultural evenings to social events. The goal is to help people who are new to Enschede find friends and feel at home.

Craft Café

Co-founder

I co-founded Craft Café, a weekly drop-in crafting evening for students. Every Wednesday from 18:00 to 20:30 in the Kleine Zaal at the Vrijhof, people come together to make things with their hands, try something new, and unwind after a day of studying.
